KENDAT builds capacity of those in the agriculture and livestock sector as follows:

• Continuous professional development workshops (CPDs) for practicing veterinary surgeons and veterinary paraprofessionals on topics related to animal welfare, animal health and emerging trends in veterinary practice
• Training and mentorship of veterinary interns in collaboration with Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) to ensure that they have the OIE competencies of ‘Day 1 graduates’
• Training farmers through field days in collaboration with partner organizations and pharmaceutical companies
• Field based training and mentorship programme for local animal health service providers (LAHPs),farriers and agrovet owners
