... Unlocking the potentials of resource poor communities in innovative business partnerships ...

Our Vision, Mission and Objectives

KENDAT is guided by the need to achieve good quality of life for all. Please join and partner with us to make a difference in people's livelihoods.

Our Vision:

A vibrant and dynamic Kenya smallholder agricultural business sector with reduced knowledge, information, technological and market gaps, hence a sustained fight against poverty.

Our Mission:

Engage community groups in innovative development partnerships for a self-emancipation process towards unlocking their entrepreneurship and business potentials, to meet their development challenges.

Our Operational theme:

Unlocking the potentials of resource poor communities in innovative business partnerships

Our Objectives:

KENDAT has four main work pillars, operating as programmes that are end-user (needs) governed and therefore flexible in terms of scope, resource allocation, intensity and time.

  1. Natural Resource Management: This encompasses:- Conservation Agriculture (CA) for reduced labour and other input demands, increased productivity and protection of the environment .
  2. Agro-enterprise and Marketing: This includes:- Rural transport services and intermediate means of transport (non- and motorised) for improved haulage efficiency, in linking farms to markets.
  3. Animal Welfare and Utilization: This entails:- Load and cost efficient work-animal utilization in farm and transport operations, with special regard for un-compromised and sustained growth of animal and user welfare.
  4. Consultancy Assignments in any of the above or implied development aspects, often by teaming up with an elaborate selection of capable collaborators of the network.
