Article I: Governance of the Organization
A Board, of which the first members shall be the signatories to these articles, shall manage the organization. The Board shall exercise all powers and authority over management of the organization as conferred by this article and all relevant statutes. There shall be a Board of a maximum membership of nine members. The Board will serve for a fixed term of three years. One third of the longest serving members will retire by rotation after service of three years. Where there is a tie in the length of service, those to retire shall be determined by the alphabetical order of their names. Members invitation to join the Board will be made under the networking philosophy and be of individual farmers, development prospectors, representatives of community groups, other Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), key development projects, government agencies and private sector companies or donors or any other category that the members deem appropriate.
